Veneers are a terrific cosmetic solution for permanently stained, chipped, discolored, misaligned teeth, or even to revitalize old crown and bridgework. In just two or three dental visits, a veneer can reverse years of stains caused by foods, caffeine and tobacco use. Special thin laminates, called veneers, can also be used to correct discolored, worn down, cracked and chipped teeth. Veneers can also be used to close unsightly gaps between teeth. Stronger types of veneers made of porcelain, also called composite veneers, typically last longer because they are bonded to the tooth.
An Onlay and inlay, also referred to as a partial crown, is a custom filling made of BPA free composite resin or porcelain and is permanently cemented onto the tooth. Onlays and inlays are an alternative to crowns and a conservative option to restoring teeth affected by decay, trauma or with large defective fillings back to a more natural biting surface. Some teeth need greater strength and support than can be given by fillings alone. Inlays and onlays are tooth-colored restorations that can fill large cavities and repair damaged teeth. Tooth-colored inlays and onlays do their work subtly and beautifully.
